Abilene, TX – Attack at homeless shelter leads to murder charge.
Abilene Police were called to the scene of an attack at the Salvation Army homeless shelter. A murder charge was the result. The call to 911 came in at around 2:30 am Wednesday when a fight broke out in the men’s bathroom. The suspect was seen stomping on the victim in a bathroom stall with his feet. He later dragged the victim outside the building to a rear alleyway where he removed some of the victim’s clothes and tried to hand them off to other residents at the shelter.
The 58 year old victim was treated by ems at the scene and transported to a local Abilene hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Doctors said the injuries were too severe to save the man. Three witnesses from the murder scene have come forth and provided police with statements to back up the murder charges.
