Abilene, TX – Brandy Chappa Killed in Truck Crash on Pine St

Abilene, TX (October 5, 2020) – A motor vehicle accident in the Abilene area claimed the life of one woman on Friday. On October 2, the Abilene Police Department responded to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident on Pine Street.

Reports show that 30-year-old Brandy Chappa was driving in the 3600 block of Pine Street when her vehicle collided with a garbage truck near the intersection with Huckleberry Street.

The crash caused significant damage to Chappa’s vehicle. Authorities confirmed that Chappa was fatally injured in the crash and pronounced deceased at the scene.

A passenger inside Chappa’s vehicle, who was only identified as an adult male, was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment of critical injuries. The driver of the garbage truck was not injured in the accident.

At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
