Car Accidents in Texas

Abilene, TX – Four Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on Rebecca LnApproximately every 58-seconds, someone is involved in a car accident in the state of Texas. These accidents leave around 250,000 people injured annually. Although the majority of accidents leave victims with minor injuries, tens of thousands of victims require immediate medical attention and have to spend months out of work recovering. Victims who are injured in accidents are often left with an array of injuries. Depending on the type of accident, the speed at which vehicles are traveling, and various other factors, victims are likely to sustain broken bones, brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries in collisions.

Although we can be vigilant in controlling our own vehicles, keeping our eyes on the road, and helping to ensure the safety of others sharing the road, there is very little that we can do to ensure others sharing the road remain as careful. Statistics show that nearly 80% of collisions each year are a result of driver error. When drivers engage in distracting behaviors, drive impaired, or are reckless while operating their vehicles, they are likely to cause accidents that can leave others with life-altering injuries. When victims sustain injuries in accidents caused by negligent drivers, they should reach out to a car accident attorney in Texas as soon as possible.
