Car Accidents in Texas

Abilene, TX – One Injured in Car Crash on S 14th StCar accidents throughout Texas send tens of thousands of people to area hospitals with injuries. Head-on collisions are more likely to result in catastrophic injuries for those involved due to the point of impact. In many cases, victims are left with lifelong impairments that continue to impact their health and ability to work. Although we can take proactive measures to ensure we are in control of our vehicles at all times, there is little we can do to ensure other drivers sharing the road remain responsible. Regrettably, driver error is the leading cause of collisions in Texas each year. Accounting for nearly 80% of accidents, aggressive and distracted driving, impaired driving, driving while tired, and failing to follow traffic control devices are leading causes of devastating collisions we see here in Texas.

Many victims involved in accidents are forced to go through extensive medical treatment for resulting injuries. Surgery, therapy, and other treatments are not only painful for victims, but they come at an extraordinary cost. The fact that victims are forced to spend tens of thousands of dollars on the treatment they need as a result of another person’s actions is truly unacceptable. For this reason, our state provides victims the ability to seek compensation from those who cause them harm.
