Abilene, TX – One Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on N 1st St
Abilene, TX (August 29, 2020) – An automobile accident reported in Taylor County on Wednesday sent one person to a local hospital with injuries. At approximately 4:30 p.m., on August 26, the Abilene Police Department responded to the scene of a crash on North 1st Street.
Reports show that a silver 2017 Dodge Ram pickup truck collided with a red 2006 Jeep in the 3500 block of North 1st Street near the intersection with Westwood Drive. The impact of the crash caused severe front-end damages to both vehicles involved. The driver of the Dodge, who was identified as a 23-year-old male, was uninjured in the accident.
The driver of the Jeep, who was identified as a 49-year-old Hispanic male, was injured in the accident. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries immediately following the crash.
At this time, the police in Abilene are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
