Abilene, TX – One Man Killed in RV Fire on S 11th St
Abilene, TX (November 13, 2020) – A fire incident reported on Wednesday morning claimed the life of one man in the Abilene area. At approximately 4:50 p.m., on November 11, the Abilene Fire Department responded to the scene of a structure fire incident on South 11th Street.
Reports show that a recreational vehicle caught on fire at the Lake Breeze Trailer Park in Abilene, causing severe damage to the vehicle. Heavy smoke was seen pouring from the RV as flames burst out of the windows.
Firefighters responded to the scene of the incident and began to aggressively battle the blaze. Once firefighters were able to enter the RV, they located a man. The man was pulled from the RV and administered life-saving measures.
Despite the firefighters’ best efforts, the victim succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The RV was deemed a complete loss. Investigations surrounding the incident are currently underway.
