Abilene, TX – Two Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision on FM 3438

Abilene, TX (July 15, 2020) – At approximately 1:35 p.m., on July 11, the Abilene Police Department responded to the site of an auto accident involving two vehicles on Farm to Market Road 3438.

Reports provided by an officer with the police department show that a silver 2014 Ford sedan and a silver 2014 Toyota sedan collided on Farm to Market Road 2428 at the intersection with Hartford Street after one of the drivers involved failed to stop at a traffic control device.

The collision resulted in front end damages to the Ford and rear passenger-side damages to the Toyota. The driver of the Ford, who was identified as a 28-year-old male, suffered injuries in the accident. The 60-year-olf female driver of the Toyota was uninjured in the collision. However, a 19-year-old female passenger in the Toyota suffered injuries in the accident, too. Both injured victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment and evaluation. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with both victims injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.
