Kress, TX – Tommy Day Killed in Head-On Crash on FM 928
Kress, TX (October 27, 2020) – A head-on collision reported on Tuesday morning claimed one person’s life in Kress. On October 27, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the site of a crash on Farm to Market Road 928.
Reports provided by authorities show that 68-year-old Tommy Day was traveling west on Farm to Market Road 928 when his vehicle collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle, which was driven by 30-year-old Eric Ramirez.
Investigations find that icy road conditions caused Ramirez to lose control of his vehicle and cross over the center line, causing a head-on collision between the two vehicles.
Day sustained fatal injuries in the crash. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding officers.
Ramirez was seriously injured and rushed to Plainview Memorial Hospital for the treatment of injuries. At this time, investigations surrounding the crash are underway.
