Car Accidents in Texas
Every year, car accidents throughout the state of Texas leave around 20,000 people with severe injuries. Although there have been numerous safety advances to protect motorists throughout the country, we continue to see victims suffer from injuries due to collisions at an alarming rate. Although we can take proactive measures to ensure we are in control of our vehicles at all times, there is little we can do to ensure other drivers sharing the road remain responsible. Regrettably, driver error is the leading cause of collisions in Texas each year. Accounting for nearly 80% of accidents, aggressive and distracted driving, impaired driving, driving while tired, and failing to follow traffic control devices are leading causes of devastating collisions we see here in Texas.
Many victims involved in accidents are forced to go through extensive medical treatment for resulting injuries. Surgery, therapy, and other treatments are not only painful for victims, but they come at an extraordinary cost. The fact that victims are forced to spend tens of thousands of dollars on the treatment they need as a result of another person’s actions is truly unacceptable. For this reason, our state provides victims the ability to seek compensation from those who cause them harm. Victims can seek legal guidance from a reputable car accident attorney in Texas after their accident to explore legal options available to help them move forward after sustaining life-altering injuries in crashes.
