San Angelo, TX (December 25, 2020) – A pedestrian accident reported in the San Angelo area sent one person to a local hospital with injuries. On December 24, the San Angelo Police Department responded to the scene of an auto accident on Sherwood Way.

Reports from authorities show that a CX-5 pulled into a parking space at the Cato, located on Sherwood Way. The driver believed the vehicle was in park. For unknown reasons, they hit the gas pedal and drove through the front of the store.

After going through the building, the vehicle struck an employee at the fashion store. The pedestrian was injured in the accident. The injured worker was transported to Shannon Medical Center for the treatment of injuries. No one inside the SUV was injured.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are underway with the police in San Angelo.
