San Angelo, TX – Jesse Hernandez Struck & Killed by Vehicle on Upton St

San Angelo, TX (September 30, 2020) – A pedestrian accident reported in the San Angelo area on Monday evening claimed the life of one man, according to police. Just before 9 p.m., on September 28, the San Angelo Police Department was called to the scene of an accident on Upton Street.

Reports from authorities show that 87-year-old Jesse Hernandez was attempting to cross the road in the 1700 block of Upton Street in a motorized wheelchair when he was struck by an SUV.

Hernandez was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared deceased. At this time, investigations surrounding the accident are underway.
