San Angelo, TX – US-277 Crash Claims Life of Daniel Clain Lott
San Angelo, TX (December 21, 2020) – A vehicle collision reported in the San Angelo area on Saturday evening claimed the life of a man from the Abilene area. At around 8 p.m., on December 19, the San Angelo Police Department, firefighters, and EMS responded to the site of a crash on US Highway 277.
Reports from the police show that 60-year-old Daniel Clain Lott was traveling north on US Highway 277 in a 2006 Toyota Camry when he collided head-on with a 2013 GMC Sierra pickup truck.
Lott was fatally injured in the accident. Police arrived at the site of the crash and declared the man deceased.
The driver and passenger in the GMC, identified as 57-year-old Alvin New and his wife 59-year-old Shelly New, were both transported to Shannon Medical Center for the treatment of injuries. The crash remains under investigation with the police in Abilene at this time.
