Wichita Falls, TX – Three People Injured in Semi-Truck Crash on US-281
Wichita Falls, TX (July 24, 2020) – A semi-truck reported on Monday evening left one victim injured in Archer County, according to police. At approximately 7:50 p.m., on July 20, emergency crews in Wichita Falls responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 281.
Reports provided by police show that a car was traveling east on Farm to Market Road 1954 when it collided with a semi-truck at the intersection with US Highway 281. The collision resulted in extensive damages to the car. Three people inside the car were injured. Two victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment. Both were released a short time later. A third victim, who was identified as a high school student from Rider High School, sustained critical injuries. The male teen was transported to an area hospital via medevacked immediately following the crash. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
