Wichita Falls, TX – Accident on US-287 Claims Life of Destiny Raye Wilson
Wichita Falls, TX (August 18, 2020) – An automobile accident reported in the Wichita Falls area early Tuesday morning claimed the life of one victim and left two other people seriously injured.
According to reports provided by local news sources, a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander occupied by a man, a woman, and a child was traveling on Interstate 287, in the area just south of Jolly, when the vehicle collided with a train for unknown reasons. The vehicle rolled over during the collision, ejecting the female driver. The Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the site of the crash with emergency medical personnel. The female victim was located outside of the vehicle and was immediately declared deceased at the scene. An adult male and an infant were both located inside the vehicle with critical injuries. Both victims were transported to United Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries. Authorities later identified the female victim as 21-year-old Destiny Raye Wilson. The man was identified as 22-year-old Demetric Clark.
At this time, troopers with DPS are investigating the crash.
