Abilene, TX – Man Killed in Car Crash on S Danville Dr
Abilene, TX (August 28, 2020) – An auto accident reported in the Abilene area claimed one man’s life on Thursday. At approximately 10:30 p.m., on August 27, the Abilene Police Department responded to the scene of a crash on South Danville Drive.
Reports show that a 45-year-old man was involved in an accident with a second vehicle on South Danville Drive near the intersection with Buffalo Gap Road. The impact of the crash sent the man’s 90s model GMC pickup truck off the on-ramp near Winters Freeway, located in front of the Comfort Inn Suites. The truck then rolled over.
The man was partially ejected from his vehicle. He sustained fatal injuries in the accident. Police arrived at the scene and declared the man deceased. At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
