Jones County, TX (October 8, 2020) – A car accident on Monday evening claimed the life of one man on Monday. On October 5, the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene of an auto accident on US Highway 83.

Reports show that 32-year-old Jeremy Atchison was driving north on US Highway 83 when his vehicle collided with a 1930 Model A Coupe. Atchison’s 2013 Ford Edge skidded down the road and rolled over.

Atchison was critically injured in the accident. He was rushed to Hendrick Medical Center immediately following the crash. Authorities confirmed that he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving. The driver and sole occupant of the Model A was not injured in the accident.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
