San Angelo, TX (October 10, 2020) – A commercial vehicle accident reported on Friday morning left two people injured. On October 9, the San Angelo Police Department responded to the scene of a crash on Farm to Market Road 1223.

According to reports provided by the police in San Angelo, a commercial furniture truck was traveling through the intersection of Farm to Market Road 1223 and Janie Lane when the vehicle collided with a white Chevrolet pickup truck. The impact of the crash sent the commercial vehicle off the road where it struck a fire hydrant and crashed into a tree, pinning the driver inside.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and extricated the trapped driver. Both the driver and the passenger of the furniture truck were transported to Shannon Medical Center for treatment of injuries. No one inside the Chevrolet was injured.

Investigations surrounding the accident are currently underway with the San Angelo Police Department Traffic Division.
